
The sign says that in spite of the fact that this cape is named 'Cape of the Roses, because of the wild roses that abound in the area, the cape itself is trecherous, and had claimed many a boat, and many a sailor's life, before they built the lighthouse.

Our wonderful afternoon in the sun, at the beach. Very find sugar-like sand.

We 'met' this lady walking down the beach with her Yorkie, and asked her if we could take their picture. She spoke not a word of English, but was very nice.

There's not as much seawead as it looks like. And there was absolutely no smell except for the clean fresh salt air smell.

This is part of the older business part of Gaspe`. We're at the backside of these buildings, but you climb up the wooden steps to get to the close-together-stacked-up shops. The street in front is a one way street.
