More Pukwaska

Dick did get in the water too, up to his waist. But I went swimming. Didn't actually feel any colder than Balmorhea; but I think it is. I think they said it's about 60 degrees in this little cove on the beaches. It was cloudy and humid, but warm enough to make us sweat on our hikes. Again, the water is crystal clear. As far out as I went I could see the bottom.

The beaches were so beautiful and serene. I'll show more pics later of the immense diversity of flora in the boreal forest.

These are some scenes from our hikes in Pukwaska. The old lava rocks (the sign said from when the earth was being formed) were streaked with veins of quartz. That's what the 2 pics of Spot are of. Funny story. When we leave Spot, and she's unhappy about it, she finds paper in a trash, and shreds it. She's been punished for it repeatedly, but still does it. When we were leaving on our first hike, I didn't think Dick would want to take her, so I left her in the rig, and joined him outside. In the time it took for him to suggest we go ahead and take her, till I could get back inside, she'd already started the shredding process. Less than 60 seconds! She LOVED the hike, and was at the end of her leash the entire time!

The picture right above Spot's pic is a crevice in the rock down to the lake.
